Regular Ticket Competitions - from someone who enters them all

If you plan to go to a lot of races it makes sense to enter as many competitions as you possibly can for tickets, it makes all the difference to your budget.

There are a number of companies who regularly hold both facebook and twitter competitions so it's worth liking their pages and checking regularly through the season.

As well as regular like & share comps, HiQ also run their #SuperFan competition. Whenever you go to a race be sure to take a selfie and send it to them for the chance to win tickets to the next round.

• Don't forget to like as many of the team facebook pages as you can because they win often host competitions of their own including VIP hospitality. 

• Also take a look at the BTCC Autoglym app. There are often competitions, news and the app gives you direct links to live timing for all the races, qualifying and practise session. It also gives you a link to TinTopTuesday, which if you aren't familiar with it is Alan Hyde's radio show concerning all things BTCC, broadcast at 8pm on the Tuesday after race weekends.

• If you are the sort to plan well in advance, last year I got tickets to Silverstone at half price by buying in the Black Friday sale, so check the circuit websites when that strange day hits again.
